ARCHIPELAGO OF THE AZORES IS COMPOSED OF NINE MAGICAL ISLANDS

Located in the middle of the North Atlantic, between the European, American and African continents, the archipelago is a two-hour flight to Lisbon, three to five hours to other European capitals and five to six hours to the USA (East Coast) and Canada. The Azores stand out from the rest of the Portuguese territory with a set of unique opportunities inherent to its geostrategic position, as an advanced frontier of Europe in relation to the American continent, revealing an enormous economic potential, developed in harmony with nature, which is characterized by environmental and unsurpassed sustainability.

With areas ranging from 747 km² (island of S. Miguel) to 17 km² (island of Corvo), the population of the Region is over 240,000 inhabitants and each of the islands has its own specifical culture.

THE AZORES ARE IN FASHION: TO VISIT, TO LIVE, BUT ALSO TO INVEST.

The Azores are, in fact, the first archipelago in the world to be certified as a sustainable tourist destination, and continue to draw attention, not only for their natural beauty, but also for their strategic location, gastronomy, favorable taxation, security, low cost of life and authenticity.

In Ponta Delgada, capital of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, the demand for houses to live in has far exceeded the existing offer on the market, even in times of a pandemic, and is already considered a paradise where the marriage between Man and Nature is unique and sustainable.

In which there is a great cultural and political relationship, for example, with the USA, which from 2022 will have new connections between New York and Ponta Delgada and with Canada, with weekly connections, between Toronto and Ponta Delgada

Both today and in the future, the Azorean market will certainly be one of those with the greatest potential. Mainly because of its strategic location in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, which makes this region close to both the Portuguese mainland market and foreign markets, such as the North American and Canadian markets.

The infrastructures that serve this island region, such as ports, airports and the road network, are also a key factor in boosting the real estate sector, since accessibilities and connections - inter-islands and to the rest of the world - can be carried out by fiber optic submarine cable (SDH technology).

Another factor that cannot be ignored is the multiplicity of natural resources adjacent to the Azores archipelago, a region that has approximately 1,000,000 km2 of area of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) of the Azores – 55% of the Portuguese EEZ and about 15% of the European EEZ, a unique cultural and historic.
